Ribbon Cutting Held For Ivey Drive Within ParkEast Industrial Park in Wayne County

The event celebrated the opening of a new access road that will meet the demands of the rapidly growing park.

The landscape at ParkEast Industrial Park in Goldsboro, NC, has experienced rapid changes over the past several years due to new tenants and the expansion of existing industries. As this growth continues, the demand for improved road accessibility has also increased. This is where Ivey Drive comes into play, connecting Gateway Drive and McLain Street. Furthermore, Harry Ivey Drive will link into this roadway at its midpoint, further enhancing accessibility within the park. This new service road will provide better access for business traffic and offer tenants a secondary exit route in case of emergencies.

The ribbon cutting showcased the collaborative efforts supported by the Wayne County Development Alliance, with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Golden Leaf, the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Wayne County, and Duke Energy.

These efforts have created more than a safe and efficient access road, but an avenue for continued economic growth for the ParkEast Industrial Park, creating valuable jobs in Wayne County that will impact the region and beyond.
