🎉 Great news for Wayne County, NC! Today, Governor Josh Stein announced that Pelsan Tekstil A.S. will acquire both the 50K and 30K shell buildings within ParkEast Industrial Park in Goldsboro. The company plans to create 216 new jobs and invest $82.6 million in capital.
Pelsan Tekstil A.S. specializes in producing breathable polyethylene film for the medical, hygiene, and insulation sectors. Its products, including Breatech, are utilized by manufacturers of children’s diapers and medical equipment both domestically and internationally.
The North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region (EDR) and the Wayne County Development Alliance (WCDA) are excited about Pelsan Tekstil A.S.’s decision to locate within the region. This announcement again indicates that eastern North Carolina is "primed" for attracting innovative manufacturing companies.
Partnering with the EDR on this project were the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, Department of Commerce, NC General Assembly, North Carolina Community College System, Wayne County, Wayne County Development Alliance, City of Goldsboro, Duke Energy, North Carolina Southeast, and Wayne Community College.
