Kinston, NC. - Southern Vinyl Manufacturing is investing 2.5 million dollars to expand its operations at 2010 Smithfield Way in Kinston. The project will add warehouse and yard space, improve production flow, and create a larger parking area for employees. As the company continues to grow, 5 to 10 new jobs are expected across several departments.

Southern Vinyl has been located in the Hwy 70 W Industrial Park since 2020. To support this expansion, Lenoir County Government sold an additional parcel to the company, with the Lenoir County Development Alliance and the NC Global TransPark Economic Development Region working in partnership to make the project possible. This expansion ensures that Southern Vinyl has the space and support needed to continue growing its operations in Lenoir County.

“Southern Vinyl is an important part of our business community,” said Linda Rouse Sutton, Chair of the Lenoir County Board of Commissioners. “Their decision to expand again in Lenoir County shows confidence in our community and in the partnerships that help companies succeed.”

Founded in 1997, Southern Vinyl provides fencing, railing, pergolas, arbors, and other outdoor products to building supply distributors and fence companies across the East Coast and beyond. The company’s team takes pride in producing high-quality vinyl products that are customized to meet the needs of each customer.
