Pathway to Success Workshop Event Attended by EDR’s Julie Graham

Julie Graham, Wayne County Existing Industry Director, attended the Pathways to Success workshop at Wayne Community College today. The event was held in celebration of the 9th Annual National Apprenticeship Week. Several organizations came together to talk about creating and training the workforce.

The presentation covered the following topics.

• Employer partner speaking on the benefits of partnering with the community college
• My Future NC 
• USDOL to talk about employing youth 
• Eastern Carolina Workforce Development Board to discuss funding opportunities for organizations
• ApprenticeshipNC to talk about creating opportunities
• A panel of students talking about the benefits of employers supporting their training

It was a jam-packed morning, but employers left with ideas on recruiting, retaining, and training their workforce. Thank you, Kristie Sauls, Executive Director of Apprenticeships and Career Development at Wayne Community College, for an excellent presentation!
