Our 2025 Annual Report Is Here. See What Eastern North Carolina Built Together.

In 2025, the North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region celebrated eight major project announcements across Greene, Lenoir, and Wayne Counties. When the dust settled, our region had secured 738 new jobs and $262 million in new capital investment. Those are not just numbers. Those are families with new paychecks, communities with new tax revenue, and a region that is proving it can compete with anyone in the state.

Annual Report

In Greene County, Judco Manufacturing committed to 60 new jobs out of Snow Hill, bringing their family-owned automotive supplier operation to a 50,000 square-foot facility. In Lenoir County, Cardon Rehabilitation and Medical Equipment established their first United States headquarters right here in Kinston. Electrolux Consumer Products expanded their existing facility to add 74 new jobs. And Southern Vinyl grew their East Coast operation with new warehouse space and up to 10 new positions.

Wayne County had a year that is hard to top. Prolec GE Waukesha committed $140 million and more than 330 new jobs. Pelsan Tekstil brought $82.6 million in investment and 216 new jobs to ParkEast Industrial Park in Goldsboro. Goshen Engineering expanded their facility, and Scout Limited moved into a renovated industrial building to strengthen the county's logistics sector.

Beyond the announcements, our team managed 119 active business leads, held over 850 meetings with industries, stakeholders, and community partners, and supported 127 existing industries across the region. We attended the NCEDA Site Selectors Summit, supported the Industry Showcase at Lenoir Community College, and stayed connected to the workforce and infrastructure issues that matter most to our counties.

We also celebrated our fifth anniversary as an organization this year, and we did it the right way, with results.
None of this happens alone. It takes county commissioners, municipal leaders, workforce partners, state agencies, and private investors all pulling in the same direction. Eastern North Carolina is at its best when it works together, and 2025 showed exactly what that looks like.
