Congratulations to Lenoir County, North Carolina, and the North Carolina Global TransPark on securing a $1.9 million Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) grant, as Governor Josh Stein announced. The grant improves sewer infrastructure at the North Carolina Global TransPark, supporting the U.S. Navy’s new Fleet Readiness Center.
This project, which will provide maintenance and repair services for the C-130 military aircraft, is expected to create 440 new jobs. This investment is a massive win for our economy and workforce within the North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region, bringing more opportunities to Eastern North Carolina while strengthening our region’s role in aviation and military support!
