Lenoir County Receives Golden LEAF Grant
Great news for Lenoir County as it has been selected to participate in the SITE Program - Identification phase to support industrial site development.
The funding will bring in a third-party site consultant to conduct an industrial site study to assess and identify potential new industrial sites county-wide, strengthening the county's ability to attract businesses and jobs.
"The Golden LEAF Board of Directors established the SITE Program to help rural communities make sites available for development to attract new businesses and create opportunities for existing businesses to expand,” said Scott T. Hamilton, Golden LEAF President and Chief Executive Officer. “This project will help Lenoir County identify potential industrial sites for development."
The NC Global TransPark Economic Development Region and Lenoir County are working on expanding site readiness, improving infrastructure, and positioning the area for long-term economic growth. With support from Golden LEAF, these efforts will help attract industrial prospects, bringing new jobs and investment to the region.
