Greene and Lenoir County Manufacturers Associations - Hold Joint Meeting

The Greene and Lenoir County Manufacturers Associations held a joint meeting today at Lenoir Community College’s Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing Center. The roundtable discussion focused on the local and regional workforce needs and opportunities.

Trey Cash opened the floor for discussion to hear from both manufacturers and educational leaders about their challenges and successes. Among those who spoke on the topic were Justin Hill of Worth Products, Dr. Rusty Hunt, President of Lenoir Community College; Donna Phillips, Industry Engagement and Recruitment at NC East Alliance; Rose Mary Jones, HR Manager at Crown Equipment; and John Beilman, Director of Site Service at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc.

Meetings like this are beneficial because they help create jobs for expanding industries while identifying ways to strengthen and enhance workforce development in our region.
