The collaborative effort between Barnhill Contracting and TA Loving Company is making significant strides on the extensive 60-acre FRC East C130 MRO Complex. Progress is rapid, with one structure already completed and a second one under construction, with steel materials for several more already on-site. Crews are diligently pouring concrete over layers of rebar to create foundations for the various maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and paint booth facilities. Additionally, work on stormwater management systems and utility installations is continuing with completion near. A taxiway has also been completed, ready to provide a vital link between the runway and the new aircraft parking area.
Once completed, this complex will support Fleet Readiness Center East, enhancing maintenance operations for C-130s and other aircraft. The project is expected to create over 400 jobs in the NC Global Transpark, significantly benefiting Eastern North Carolina.
