Today, the North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region partnered with Lenoir Community College, Jones County Economic Development, Greene County Schools, Lenoir County Schools, and Jones County Schools to host an event that highlighted local career opportunities and connected students with the region’s top industries.
First, Greene, Lenoir, and Jones County high school students toured over ten industries across all three counties. They then arrived at Lenoir Community College’s main campus for the Industry Showcase, which featured outdoor exhibits, equipment displays, and information tables hosted by local employers and organizations.
The Lenoir County Manufacturers Association, the Greene County Manufacturers Association, and Lenoir Community College served as sponsors for the Industry Showcase.
This was an excellent opportunity for local industry leaders to connect with future workforce talent, network with fellow industry leaders, and showcase what makes their companies outstanding workplaces.
